OUR VISION
The Youth Climate Finance Alliance is composed of a multi-racial, multi-ethnic group of young organizers, all 26 and under, from across the vast geography of this country. Our staff has been active in the youth climate movement for the past decade.
Each of us has witnessed the horrors of climate destruction, firsthand. The planet is burning and banks, insurance companies, and investors are throwing fuel on the fire.
We know a better world for our families, friends, and communities is possible when we organize for a society built on the values of reciprocity, democratic governance, accountability, and justice
As a team, we are particularly cognizant of our positions growing up in the imperial core and the actions of the country in which we live - its government, military, and financial institutions and corporations - which severely and negatively impacts people and ecosystems across the globe. This must stop. We seek to leverage our access to these institutions to Stop the Harm, Make Corporations Pay, and Build A Liberated World. We are committed to anti-capitalism, international solidarity, and cross-movement organizing. Our targets not only fund climate catastrophe but also uphold white supremacy and imperialism around the world. We must be in solidarity with all liberation movements - our work is intertwined.
